This covers everything listed in Band 1, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or removal of teeth but not more complex items covered by Band 3.
Band 3

This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2, plus crowns, dentures, bridges and other laboratory work.
Emergency Dental Treatment
£27.90
This covers emergency care such as pain relief or a temporary filling.
Who is entitled to free dental care?
You are entitled to free NHS dental care if you are:
- aged under 18, or under 19 and in qualifying full-time education
- pregnant or have had a baby in the previous 12 months
You are also entitled if you or your partner – including civil partner – receive:
- Income Support
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
Or if you’re entitled to or named on:
- a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate –
- a valid HC2 certificate
People named on an NHS certificate for partial help with health costs (HC3) may also get help.
You will be asked to show your dentist written proof that you do not have to pay for all or part of your NHS treatment. You will also be asked to sign a form to confirm that you do not have to pay. Checks are made on free and reduced cost treatment claims. If you say you have the right to free treatment when you do not, you may incur a penalty charge

Missed Appointments
NHS Dental Care
If you know you will not be able to attend your NHS appointment, then please give as much notice as possible to the practice so they can offer your slot to another patient.
At Guilden Sutton Dental Practice we do not charge for missed appointments or late cancellations for NHS work.
However, if you fail to cancel two appointments without 24 hours notice (1 working day) you will no longer be able to receive NHS treatment at this practice.
