Facilities at Guilden Sutton Dental Practice include four fully equipped, air conditioned modern surgeries, a separate decontamination room, reception area and waiting room. We are fully accessible with ample parking in front of the practice and a ramp for wheelchair access. There are ground floor surgeries available for those patients with access difficulties.

Hannah McKinnon
Partner
Dr Hannah McKinnon graduated as a Dental Surgeon (BDS) from Birmingham University. She has worked in both general dental practice and hospital based surgical dentistry since qualification in 2005. Hannah enjoys every aspect of routine dentistry and has undertake many courses to refine her clinical skills.
Hannah has a special interest in oral surgery (MOS) and sedation (use of medicines to safely relax and calm patients for a dental procedure).
After her initial surgical training as Junior Doctor at University Hospital Birmingham, Hannah became a staff grade in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She worked alongside leading OMFS consultants in military trauma and head and neck cancer clinics while running her own oral surgery list. She also mentored newly qualified dentists and doctors. During this time, Hannah completed her MFDS qualification to become a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
In 2011, Hannah returned to her home, the north-west, and continued MOS work in various localities including St. Helens, Chester and Warrington. She completed post graduate training in Dental Sedation and Pain Management from University of Central London. The training was both theory-based and practical, under the supervision of experienced medical anaesthetists. More recently, Hannah completed mentored implant training and is now placing dental implants using the Nobel Biocare system.
Dr Hannah McKinnon runs private oral surgery clinics from Guilden Sutton Dental Practice, of which she became partner in 2016.
Alongside practice commitments, Hannah also works as a Specialty Dentist in Oral Surgery at Liverpool Dental Hospital and for Bridgwater NHS Trust. In addition to her clinical work, Hannah has a seat on the Local Dental Comittee for Chester and Cheshire West. The LDC is involved in developing clinical NHS policy for dentists and helping local practices implement them.
Hannah is a music-lover and a keen pianist. She also loves all types of fitness and in recent years has started practising yoga.

Heather Ryves
Partner
Heather qualified from Liverpool University in 2000. She has worked in both NHS and Private Practice and has previously been a Clinical Lead.
Aspiring to owning her own practice, finally in 2016 Heather went into partnership; buying Guilden Sutton Dental Practice with good friend Dr Hannah McKinnon.
Heather cares passionately about her patients always wanting the best care for them; providing patients with all options so they are fully informed is crucial to formulating each individual treatment plan. Treating ech patient in a relaxed and friendly manner is key to a happy patient.
Although enjoying all aspects of general dentistry she has a few special interests. Heather really enjoys providing cosmetic braces to improve patients tooth alignment and enhance their smiles using Invisalign, Reveal and Cfast systems.
Heather is also a validated provider of facial rejuvenation with anti-wrinkle treatments.
After recently completing a course at the endodontic centre ‘Simplyendo’ Heather has found a new passion for root canal treatment.
Outside of work Heather enjoys spending time with family and friends, holidaying, gardening and frequenting the gym as often as she can.
Andrew Mizen
Dentist
Having qualified from the University of Liverpool in 1993, Andrew has worked exclusively in general practice in a variety of places including the Wirral, Wiltshire and Wrexham.
For the past twenty years he has been practicing in two Chester city centre surgeries and would be delighted to see any ex-patient at this new location.
Married with a son; he enjoys reading, cycling, walking and running (in that order!) in his spare time.
Penny Parry
Dental Associate
Penny qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2017 and completed her foundation year up in Lancashire. She has since come home to the Cheshire area and joined the practice in September 2018.
Penny is enjoying her time in general practice and has an interest in seeing nervous patients ensuring they are treated in a comfortable environment.
Outside of work she enjoys socialising, baking, reading and babysitting her nieces.

Gill joined the practice December 1995 and has enjoyed the diversity of working in general practice and hospital maxillofacial and orthodontic specialties over the years, originally Dental Nursing and then as a Dental Hygienist. She has undertaken further qualifications in Dental Health Education (1988). Since qualifying Gill has a continued interest in dentistry through regularly attending scientific meetings, oral health conferences and further training in various specialist procedures such as orthodontic debonds, dental photography and tooth whitening techniques.
Gill is involved in the education and training of hospital staff in Oral Care for in-patients.
She lives in Chester with her husband and son who both love cricket so, consequently Gill spends a lot of my time watching matches! She also loves skiing and mountain walking in the Lakes and Snowdonia.
